What you are seeing is the Hensley Arrow hitch on the trailer side. That crack has been there and was exacerbated by me trying to shift more weight to the front tires. It should have handled it as it’s designed to do but it didn’t. Even with its lifetime warranty it is just not convenient to get this part replaced in the Yukon Territory. That means you ask around in a town of a thousand people to find out who welds and give him a hundred bucks for helping you get thru the trip. It’s not the prettiest weld but it did the job.

Replaced my town vehicle with a truck, found a matching truck shell, paid through the nose for a 2 inch drop hitch bar from Hensley Arrow to be shipped and installed Yakima racks for the cargo box and paddle board at a Canadian national park campground at midnight last night before continuing our drive to Alaska today. This trip is officially unforgettable.
