sideload means to load files directly into your storage in the cloud without it routing through your broadband connection. That way you are not hindered by your connection speed.

Also what I would think would be cool is the ability to sideload files from the Web to your Jungle Disk. It would save download time and make downloads possible when you are low on bandwidth.

Right. I agree and think in time Jungle Disk will have a way to create public disks that are accessible over the Web. So you can create a bucket on S3 that will have corresponding links like 'http://s3.amazon.com/.../diehard4.wmv'. The beauty of S3 is not just the low cost but most importantly the scalability, redundancy and availability. Exactly what you would want as a Website operator...

What I'd like to see, and what I think is a great business opportunity, is for a company to make a front end to S3 that would allow people with websites to use it for storage. I'd love all my photos and movies to be served from S3 and only keep the html pages on my site. One cool thing they could do is create a wordpress plugin that would just make everything easier. Then each time you wanted to embed or link to a video, you could just type something like Source - :S3:/movies/diehard4.wmv
