The TechCrunch Effect

Apparently people are clamoring on to anything on the Web that is talking about the Google TV Hoax. It’s the only reason why people were flooding to my blog in record numbers this last Monday shortly after my post went up. See GAnalytics screen shot below. Since my last post about the Secret Beta/Hoax I have concluded it is most likely a hoax than anything else. The user interface mocked up by Erickson and crew just does not look scalable and the whole fiasco about his buddy Gary Castle posting an anonymous video with a 2 day old YouTube acoount pretty much sealed the deal for me.

These are big numbers for my standards….

Lycos’ customer service manager is an asshole

Read this guys blog about how Lycos refused to release hundreds of his Emails locked up in their service because he won’t pay the $20 ransom. The customer service manager subsequently delete all of his Emails and was not the least bit polite or apologetic about it. Come on! Everyone knows you can’t behave like that unless you are at least a part of an oligopoly like the cell phone or cable companies. What an asshole… I’m boycotting Lycos from now on in support of….. wait, I haven’t use Lycos in… maybe ever.

The man who lost his Emails

Greatest Drunkard Ever

My friend Bob Nanna at The City On Film Daily pointed me to a great story about Andre the Giant. The man who once consumed 119 beers in a 6 hour period. That’s one every three minutes for 6 hours. It also states that it takes about two liters of vodka just to warm his belly. Go read about it yourself.

This is where I get political

I refrain from talking much about politics on my blog but this one I just can’t turn away from. Just two days ago on January 30th 2007, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed Resolution 70. A resolution congratulation the UCSB Men’s Soccer Team for winning the Div. 1 NCAA Championship. ;) Good to see my tax dollars going into something that actually effects my life. Congrats again gents.
